Tomás Marusic
Tomas grew up in Torres del Paine in Patagonia, where his father oversaw the Hostería las Torres estancia (sheep farm) before the area was designated a national park, and where his father participated in the creation of the trail system that continues to operate today. Tomas was home-schooled in Torres del Paine until he reached middle school, spending time on horseback with cowboy baquedanos, hiking, and rock climbing. Following high school (including a stint as an exchange student in Nebraska), he returned to Torres del Paine and worked as an outdoor guide, slowly building his skill set and exploring every corner of the park.
